Be precise about the question you want answered
“Test the peptide” can mean several different analytical questions. Decide whether you need purity information, identity-focused mass information, or both. Do not assume a provider’s standard test covers every possible concern.
This service offers HPLC purity analysis and an MS identity check, with HPLC + MS recommended for the two complementary perspectives. Contact us if you are unsure which scope suits your sample; suitability is confirmed before delivery.
Use a written scope checklist
Keep the agreed requirements alongside your inquiry and supplier reference. This is especially helpful when more than one person coordinates domestic delivery or when several samples are submitted.
- Sample name, reference, and number of samples.
- HPLC, MS, HPLC + MS, or a request for scope advice.
- Required sample quantity and delivery instructions.
- Current price and anticipated turnaround time.
- English report scope and intended report recipient.
- The limits of what the findings can establish.
Distinguish analysis from sampling
Testing evaluates material that reaches the analytical process. Sampling determines which material is selected to represent an order. They are connected tasks, but one does not automatically establish the other.
A supplier-submitted sample can provide useful evidence about that sample. It cannot, by itself, prove that the whole batch is equivalent. For higher-value orders, buyers may consider multiple samples or additional sampling arrangements; these should be discussed without assuming they are included in a standard test.
Keep document references consistent
Ask your supplier to use the agreed sample reference when preparing delivery. Keep the reference connected to the order documentation so that the report can be reviewed in context.
When comparing a supplier document with an independent report, check whether they describe the same material and analytical scope. Differences in method or sample origin can limit direct comparison even if both documents report purity information.
Use the findings for a proportionate decision
Review the English report against the scope you agreed. Ask for clarification when a finding is outside your expertise rather than extending it to untested characteristics.
A third-party report is another data point, not a guarantee about a supplier, a commercial shipment, or every unit. You retain responsibility for choosing whether to proceed with payment or shipment.
