Start with the decision, then define the test
An overseas buyer sourcing directly from China may want independent analytical information before authorizing an international shipment. The practical starting point is to describe the decision you are trying to inform, rather than sending an unidentified sample and asking for a general approval.
Decide whether your concern is purity-related, identity-related, or both. HPLC and MS answer complementary questions. HPLC + MS is the recommended combined option when both questions matter, but method suitability and reporting scope must still be confirmed for the material you submit.
Agree sample access with your supplier
Ask the supplier whether they can send a sample domestically within China. Explain that the testing sample is separate from the main commercial shipment and that you want to review the report before your next decision.
Agree the timing of sample availability, who arranges delivery, and what happens to the main shipment during testing. If your checkpoint relates to the final balance, agree that directly with the supplier. The testing service does not manage your payment terms or shipment authorization.
Keep your own record of the supplier reference, order reference, and sample labels. A clear record will help you connect the independent report to the context of the purchase without assuming the sample represents every unit.
Confirm requirements before domestic delivery
Contact us before the supplier dispatches material. The sample amount, packaging, method, current price, turnaround time, and domestic receiving instructions need to be confirmed for the inquiry. There is no universal quantity or fixed completion time published here.
Share the confirmed instructions with the person preparing the parcel. For multiple samples, use a distinct label for each and state the requested testing scope. Ask about combining samples in a delivery before making your own packaging assumptions.
- Sample name or a clear agreed reference.
- Number of samples and required methods.
- Confirmed sample requirement and suitable packaging.
- Confirmed domestic delivery instructions.
- The report recipient and any documentation requirements.
Plan around receipt and report review
The timeline includes domestic delivery, analytical work, and time for you to review the report. Confirm the current turnaround time and how it relates to sample receipt before making a commercial deadline depend on it.
Your supplier sends the sample within China, so this workflow does not require international sample shipping. That is a logistics advantage; it does not remove the need for clear sample identification or establish the representativeness of the selected material.
You receive an English PDF analytical report. If you need particular sample references or reporting context, raise them when arranging the test. Do not assume the report certifies every specification you may have included in a purchase contract.
Compare evidence within its scope
Read the independent findings alongside the supplier documentation. Check whether the sample references, testing methods, and reporting basis support a meaningful comparison. A different value or chart should prompt questions about the method and sample context before a broader conclusion.
Ask for clarification if a finding is unclear. You remain responsible for deciding whether the available evidence is sufficient to authorize shipment, request further information, or change the purchasing plan.
Address the sampling question separately
Independent analysis cannot prove that a supplier-submitted sample represents every vial or an entire batch. The report applies only to the sample received and tested. A later shipment is not guaranteed to be identical.
For higher-value orders, buyers may consider additional sampling arrangements or testing multiple samples. Discuss those needs early. Standard HPLC / MS testing should not be assumed to include on-site inspection, random batch selection, or control of the shipment. Keeping analysis and sampling distinct makes the evidence easier to use responsibly.
Test results apply only to the sample received and tested. Results do not certify or guarantee the entire batch or shipment.
